Frequently Asked Questions
Why is the USTA Combo League so popular?
The combined ratings allow friends to play together and helps teams form if there aren’t enough players at one NTRP level. Also, the .5 rating difference provides compatible play. Players meet new friends, stay fit and have fun all while playing outdoors in the summer. The results in the combo league do not affect the dynamic rating of USTA league players.
Where are the matches played?
Matches will be played at any park and recreation facility, school tennis courts, or private outdoor tennis facility.
Woodbridge Recreation Department home matches will be played at the Center Rd Tennis courts
Youth League will be Saturdays from 3:00pm to 5:00pm on Center Rd Courts 1,2, & 3
Adult League will be Sundays from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Center Rd Courts 1,2, & 3
Do I have to travel?
There will be home and away matches, however depending on the league, it may be across your town or a few towns away.
What if I do not have a team?
Any individual who would like to play but does not know of a team or may be new to the area will be assisted by the league coordinator in finding a team as close to your geographic area as possible.
What if it rains?
Your team captain will coordinate with the other team to try and schedule a makeup match, preferably within 10 days of your rained out match. As much as we would like all players to play at the same time, it may be necessary, in the case of a rain out, to have each match played separately and reported to TennisLink once all matches have been completed.
