Marcy's Tennis Academy

Beginners-for the student with no tennis experience.
Advanced Beginners-for the student with some tennis experience.
Munchkin-for the brand new student in Kindergarten, First or Second grade.
Registration: To be held Monday-Friday between the hours of 8am-4pm at the Beecher SOUTH Recreation Office - or - MAIL check with name, address, phone number, day & tennis level & Adult, Youth or Munchkin to: Woodbridge Recreation Department, 11 Meetinghouse Lane, Woodbridge, CT 06525. Advanced registration is Mandatory! Limited enrollment, maximum 16 students per hour/8 students per court.

Fall Tennis Program Mondays Marcy’s Tennis Academy® winner of the 2001 USTA NE Community Tennis Association of the Year & the 2002 USTA/PTR Community Service Award is offering tennis clinics for KINDERGARTEN THROUGH SIXTH GRADE at the CENTER ROAD TENNIS COURTS. Tennis classes will introduce the fundamentals of the lifetime sport of tennis with an 8:1 teaching ratio.
Players will learn the forehand, backhand, volley, serve, & overhead smash. Each lesson will consist of stroke development, drills, fun-filled games. Players must bring a tennis racquet or may purchase tennis racquet through the academy for $30 each. Please bring one can of tennis balls on the first day of class. Parents must pickup their child(ren) at the end of class.
6-Week session on Mondays, 9/15, 9/22, 9/29, 10/6, 10/20, 10/27 from 3:25pm-4:25pm. Beginner (Grades K-1) & Intermediate (Grades 2-6).
Instructors: Teaching pros of Marcy’s Tennis Academy.
Price - $100 = residents/$110 = nonresidents
Location: CENTER ROAD TENNIS COURTS. Bus transportation will be provided from Beecher School to the courts. Pickup by parents at Center Road courts at 4:45pm.

Marcy’s Tennis Academy® winner of the 2001 USA Tennis New England Community Tennis Association of the Year & the USTA/PTR Community Service Award & Woodbridge Recreation is offering Adult (must be 16 yrs old or older) & Youth (must be entering third grade) & Munchkin (Kindergarten through second grade) tennis clinics at the CENTER ROAD TENNIS COURTS this Spring. Beginner and Advanced Beginner lessons will introduce the fundamentals of the lifetime sport of tennis with an 8:1 teaching ratio. Participants will learn & practice the basics of tennis. Each lesson will consist of stroke introduction/fundamentals, drills, strategy & games. In case of rain, one class will be made-up at the end of the session. Players must bring a tennis racquet or may purchase one through the academy. Please bring one unopened can of tennis balls on the first day of class, wear sunscreen, hat, & a bring a water bottle!
Adult Beginner/Advanced Beg: 6-Week session on Saturdays, 9/15, 9/22, 9/29, 10/6, 10/20, 10/27 from 8:30-10am on Court #1.
Munchkin: 6-week session on Saturdays 9/15, 9/22, 9/29, 10/6, 10/20, 10/27 from 9-10am on Court #2.
Youth Beginner/Advanced Beg: 6-Week session on Saturdays 9/15, 9/22, 9/29, 10/6, 10/20, 10/27 from 10-11am.
Price-Youth/Munchkin $100-residents/$105-non-residents. Adult cost $125-residents $130-non-residents/Jr. rackets available for prepay purchase for $30.
